The first Sunday of September, to coincide with the beating and
gathering nuts, from 16 on the lawn in front of the old church of
the Garden at Camparboli is the traditional & ldquo; Festival
of Walnut & rdquo ;, a party from the early twentieth century
and that l & rsquo; s Town District association has brought to
the fore. The program includes a Mass and blessing of the contrada
popular games on the road with the boys of the districts, the
tasting of typical products of Crete in the food stand and the
& rsquo; s arrival in the late afternoon of running race
