From Montalcino we depart in the direction of Sant'Angelo in Colle for about 3 km along the SP "Traversa dei Monti", to the junction for Castiglione del Bosco, where we turn right. After about 1 km and ignoring the left turning to Tavernelle, continue to Castiglione del Bosco. From here we take a beautiful dirt road after 4 km you reach a junction where you turn left Castelgiocondo. Beyond the castle down to the cellars of the same name and will continue to travel the road that winds through olive groves and past the farm Corrione continuing straight. After crossing a dry stream is almost always followed by a long row of cypress trees until you reach the fork in the road that leads to Tavernelle. From here we turn left for a proceeding uphill to reach Tavernelle. Banfi winery nearby. Continue turning the path between two vineyards left again and after 1.1 km turn right towards the farm Mocali on a route through the woods and uphill passing by the farm Brizio. We continue to climb for another 2.7 km until you reach a wider road where you turn right. Immediately after turning, turn right again to reach the farm San Lorenzo. Once there we have to tackle the difficult final stretch of about 700 meters to the response to SP "Traversa dei Monti" where we turn left to Montalcino.
