San Biagio a Vignoni

SAN QUIRICO D'ORCIA


The church of San Biagio, of Romanesque origin, though strongly remodeled inside, presents itself to a single nave covered with wooden trellises, with two cruciform window on the façade and a small head-trolley supporting a corner of the small bell tower.


The interior still retains frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries. From this church come:

The baptismal font of 1585, currently in the Collegiate Church of San Quirico d'Orcia
The bronze crucifix of the Giambologna today preserved at the Museum of Sacred Art of Montalcino.
