Recorded as early as 1448, it is notable for its 18th-century façade. The interior was also renovated in the 18th century: the two side altars dating back to 1712, the high altar, and the coffered ceiling.
In the church's choir is a painting by Pietro Sorri depicting the Death of Saint Anthony the Abbot (1602). On the right wall is a painting depicting Christ Crucified with the Madonna and Saints John the Evangelist, Anthony the Abbot, and a Saint Bishop, dating back to the second half of the 16th century and close to the style of Riccio.
Along the walls of the nave and on the counter-façade are stucco frames containing oil paintings on canvas from the Sienese school of the first half of the 18th century, depicting the 14 Stations of the Cross.
