To avoid great slopes, it would be appropriate to bring the car to Podere La Victoria, near which you can park. Take the signs for Siena and at the intersection, found after almost a mile, turn left on Mount Amiata. At the next intersection, about five miles down the road nearly straight and slightly sloping, turn right past the small hamlet of Hen. Continue, following the signs for Siena, to the intersection with the Provincial of the Orcia Valley. Turn right and continue straight on, ignoring the intersections encountered on the path to the point of departure. Those who feel "fresh", or better trained, they can always use the Podere La Victoria as a starting point for excursions to the Amiata, from Radipole, or to the nearby Contignano.
